Safety Safari

The first ever, Safety Safari was a huge success!  Kids and parents alike loved it.  Below, check out what we had in 2008, and stay tuned for the details of the 2009 Safety Safari!!

Event:
This event is designed to include fun and interactive exhibits to teach children and their families safety awareness.  Come enjoy and learn from the following exhibits:

    • NW Natural Kid Zone
    • Bi-Mart Safety Zone
    • Secure Child Fingerprinting
    • Local Fire, Police, and EMT
    • Entertainment from Radio Disney
    • and Mad Science

These interactive exhibits will fill Cook Park to educate children and their families about safety information pertaining to vehicles, water, pets, gas, internet, fire, strangers, poison control and emergency preparedness.

Upon arrival to the event, your child can get a Safety Passport.  To complete the Safety Passport your child must visit each exhibit and have the passport signed by a representative.  All completed Safety Passports can be entered into a CAMP ROCK, Live Like a Rockstar, Fantasy Band Sweepstakes drawing for a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles, CA and meet Demi Lovato.

The Safety Safari will be fun and educational, something the whole family will love.

The Safety Safari is made possible by NW Natural, Allstate, Bi-Mart, and Radio Disney AM 1640.

Parking/Directions

Festival parking is available on the Tigard High School field for $5 (benefits Rotary & Boosters). Parking entrance is on 85th Avenue. It’s a brief walk down the hill to the festival grounds, or catch a shuttle for only $1 (benefits THS Girl’s Volleyball).
